Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay has made a heartfelt appeal to vulnerable groups, including pregnant women, children, elderly citizens, and individuals with health conditions, urging them to refrain from attending the party’s first-ever state conference, scheduled to take place on October 27 in V. Salai village near Vikravandi. In a statement released on Sunday, Vijay expressed his deep concern for the well-being of his supporters and party cadre. He emphasized that while he is eager to meet everyone at the event, their health and safety take precedence. “I am looking forward to seeing you at the conference, but your welfare is most important to me. The long journey required to attend the conference may cause physical strain, especially for pregnant women, children, those with ailments, and senior citizens. I request you all to participate from the safety of your homes,” he said.
Vijay also issued a call for responsible behavior among those attending the conference. He stressed the importance of adhering to political order and traffic rules while traveling to the event, urging his party members to set an example for others. “We should always be an example to others,” he added in his letter addressed to the party cadre.
The TVK’s first state conference is expected to be a significant milestone for the party, but Vijay’s appeal highlights his commitment to the safety and well-being of his supporters, placing their health above all else.
