The Transport Department has issued a warning that any omni buses found with unpaid taxes during inspections will be seized.Officials from the department stated that with Diwali approaching, omni bus operators have assured that there will be no extra charges for passengers. However, to prevent overcharging and detect any violations, more than 50 special teams led by Regional Transport Officers (RTOs) have been deployed.
These teams are conducting checks at bus stations and along routes. If any buses are found with outstanding taxes during these inspections, they will be seized immediately, officials confirmed.
