An atmospheric circulation currently exists over the Comorin Sea near southern districts. Additionally, another upper air cyclonic circulation is expected to form tomorrow over the southern Andaman Sea and adjoining areas. This is likely to lead to the development of a low-pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal on November 23.
The low-pressure system is forecast to move northwestward and intensify into a depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal in the subsequent two days.
Moderate rainfall with thunderstorms is expected at isolated locations across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry until November 24.
