Chennai: AIADMK coordination committee member V Pugazhendhi has urged the Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar to ban Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) and cancel its registration permanently for allegedly engaging in hate politics that could incite communal tension and riots.
In his petition to the Election Commission of India (ECI), Pugazhendhi accused NTK chief coordinator Seeman of disturbing communal harmony in Tamil Nadu. He alleged that Seeman was instilling fear among the youth and spreading divisive ideologies.
He further claimed that Seemanās speeches targeted prominent political leaders and that his political methods were objectionable. Pugazhendhi urged the ECI to take strict action against NTK and its leader for their alleged role in spreading communal unrest.
