Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, Rajinikanth’s “Coolie” continues to dominate the box office. Produced by Sun Pictures and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film has reportedly grossed over Rs 404 crore worldwide in its first four days, making it the highest-grossing Tamil film globally. In India alone, the movie has collected Rs 200 crore, with a net earning of around Rs 5 crore on its fifth day, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.
“Coolie” follows the story of a man seeking revenge for his friend’s murder. The film marks a reunion of Rajinikanth and Sathyaraj after their 1986 hit, “Mr. Bharath”, and features a star-studded cast including Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, Nagarjuna, Upendra, and Kanna Ravi.
With its strong ensemble, high-octane action sequences, and the charisma of Rajinikanth, “Coolie” continues to attract large audiences across India and overseas, solidifying its status as a blockbuster in Tamil cinema.
