The Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) will carry out rail grinding maintenance work on the Green Line and Blue Line from September 9 to October 19, 2025, on selected days.
The work will be done between 5:00 AM and 6:30 AM. During this time, trains will run every 14 minutes instead of the usual 7 minutes. From 6:30 AM onwards, normal services will continue without any change.
The changes will affect only the sections where maintenance work is taking place.
CMRL has advised passengers to plan their travel accordingly. It said the work is necessary to keep metro services safe and reliable.
