Southern Railway has launched its Coast-to-Coast Parcel Express, reaffirming its commitment to building reliable, modern, and sustainable logistics across Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The weekly time-tabled parcel service promises assured transit schedules, offering businesses timely and dependable deliveries.The Parcel Express will operate every Friday from Mangaluru Central and every Tuesday from Royapuram (Chennai). The service halts at major commercial hubs including Salem, Erode, Uttukkuli, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Shoranur, Tirur, Kozhikkode, Thalassery, Kannur, and Kasaragod, ensuring smooth loading and unloading processes.
Equipped with destination-labelled parcel coaches, the service streamlines handling and improves transparency in parcel movement. It supports a wide freight basket, accommodating white goods, perishables, industrial materials, textiles, and consumer products, meeting the diverse needs of MSMEs, traders, and industries.
Real-time monitoring ensures punctual and coordinated logistics, supported by adequate dwell time for hassle-free operations at key stations. Competitive parcel rates offer a cost-effective alternative to road transport.
