NTK chief coordinator Seeman fired back at VCK president Thol Thirumavalavan for linking his party to the RSS, questioning Thirumavalavan’s 2001 alliance with the BJP to become an MLA.Speaking at a Tirunelveli meeting, Seeman defended his party’s stance, challenging critics over alleged remarks against Periyar and asserting that his focus remained on Tamil identity rather than Dravidian ideology.
He said, “You call yourselves Dravidians; we call ourselves Tamils,” and criticised labeling Keezhadi excavations as ‘Dravidian civilisation,’ insisting it should be called Tamil civilisation.
Seeman also paid homage to late DMDK founder Vijayakant and emphasized that the upcoming elections would revolve around the ideological debate between Dravidian and Tamil identity.
