A history-sheeted criminal was brutally hacked to death inside the Government Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital in Chennai early Monday morning, police confirmed. The deceased has been identified as Aadhi of Rajamangalam, who was reportedly facing multiple criminal cases.According to police sources, Aadhi had come to the hospital to visit a relative in the early hours when assailants wearing helmets ambushed him inside the premises. They attacked him with sharp weapons, inflicting fatal injuries, and fled the scene immediately after the assault.
Hospital staff and bystanders raised the alarm following the attack, and authorities were notified. Police and emergency responders quickly arrived, but Aadhi was declared brought dead upon arrival at the facility.
A special police team has been formed to trace the attackers and investigate the motive behind the murder, as officers examine possible links to Aadhiās criminal background and rivalries.
