Actor-turned-politician Vijay described the allotment of the whistle as the election symbol for Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) as the party’s first victorious chapter, expressing joy and gratitude in a post on social media platform X.
Thanking the Election Commission of India, Vijay said the whistle was not merely a symbol but a powerful expression of the people’s voice. He noted that the whistle represents alertness, unity and vigilance, and would serve as an instrument for citizens to question injustice and fight corruption.
In his post, Vijay said the whistle symbolises good governance, protection of public interest and collective aspiration, adding that it would resonate strongly with the masses across Tamil Nadu. He urged party cadres to take the symbol to every household and prepare for the political battles ahead.
