The Tamil Nadu government has officially announced that a key cabinet meeting will be held on 23 February under the chairmanship of M. K. Stalin, Chief Minister of the state.
According to the notification, the meeting is slated to start at 6:30 PM at the State Secretariat in Chennai. Ministers in the cabinet are expected to discuss several important issues, including consultations on granting approval for new investments aimed at bolstering economic activity within Tamil Nadu.
This meeting comes at a politically significant time as the state gears up for the 2026 Assembly elections, with the government also preparing to table the interim budget for 2026-27 a few days earlier, on 17 February. Political observers believe that decisions taken in the cabinet could include key policy and welfare proposals that influence both governance and election discourse
