In a stunning performance at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, the United States men’s cricket team achieved a historic victory by defeating the Netherlands by 93 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai on 13 February 2026 — marking the first time the USA has beaten the Dutch in a Twenty20 International.
Batting first, the USA put up a strong total of 196/6 in their 20 overs. Middle-order batsman Saiteja Mukkamalla led the charge with a brilliant 79 off 51 balls, while Shubham Ranjane provided late-innings fire with an unbeaten 48 from 24 deliveries.
In response, the Netherlands struggled against disciplined bowling. The American attack, spearheaded by Harmeet Singh, who took 4 wickets for 21 runs, bundled out the Dutch side for just 103 in 15.5 overs. Spinner Mohammad Mohsin and pacer Shadley van Schalkwyk also played key roles with the ball.
