The United States military has announced that it destroyed the headquarters of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in a large-scale strike, calling the action “cutting off the head of the snake.”
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) claimed the IRGC had been responsible for more than 1,000 American deaths over decades and said the attack was a major blow to its command structure.
The statement came amid ongoing US-Israeli operations against Iranian military targets, which have included multiple strikes on command centres and intelligence facilities in Tehran. These actions follow intense regional conflict, including reported deaths of senior Iranian military officials. Iran has responded with its own missile and drone attacks on Israel and American bases.
Tensions remain extremely high as both sides continue military actions in the region.
