Chennai, Apr 1:
PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss on Monday launched a sharp attack on the DMK government, stating that the Chief Minister should “bow his head in shame” for failing to maintain law and order in Tamil Nadu.
In a statement, he cited the recent murder of a DMK functionary in Tiruchirappalli district, alleging that even ruling party members are not safe under the current administration. He said the incident reflects a serious breakdown of law and order in the state.
Anbumani further claimed that thousands of murders have taken place during the DMK’s tenure, alleging that on average multiple killings occur every day. He accused the government of showing no concern for public safety or taking effective steps to control crime.
Stating that maintaining law and order is the primary duty of any government, he said the administration had failed in its basic responsibility to protect people. He also expressed confidence that voters would respond strongly against the ruling party in the upcoming elections.
