Chennai, Apr 6:
Chief Minister M. K. Stalin on Sunday alleged that the AIIMS project in Madurai, announced in 2015 and launched in 2019, still remains incomplete, accusing the BJP-led Centre of neglecting Tamil Nadu.
Speaking at an election rally in Thirumangalam, he contrasted this with the swift completion of AIIMS in Bilaspur and highlighted the DMK government’s fast implementation of projects like the Kalaignar Centenary Library and Super Speciality Hospital.
Stalin also claimed that key projects such as Metro Rail for Madurai and Coimbatore were denied, while similar projects were approved in BJP-ruled States.
Accusing the Centre of bias, he urged voters to support the DMK-led alliance in the upcoming elections.
He said Madurai was Tamil Nadu’s cultural capital and known for its hospitality.
