China has issued a sharp warning to the United States over its naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, cautioning Washington against interfering in its ties with Iran.
Chinese Defence Minister Admiral Dong Jun said Beijing would continue its energy and trade engagements with Tehran, asserting that “others should not interfere” in its affairs. He also made it clear that Chinese vessels would keep operating in the strategic waterway despite the US action.
The warning comes as the US enforced a blockade targeting ships linked to Iranian ports following the collapse of peace talks, escalating tensions in the region.
