Chennai, May 7:
Tamil Nadu has recorded an overall pass percentage of 95.20% in the Class 12 board examinations for the 2025–2026 academic year, marking a slight improvement from last year’s 95.03%.
Girls once again outshone boys, securing a pass percentage of 97%, while boys recorded 93.19%, reflecting a gap of 3.81%.
Among districts, Erode topped the State with an impressive 98.87%, followed by Sivaganga at 98.05% and Kanniyakumari at 97.63%.
In a notable achievement, 489 government schools recorded a 100% pass result, highlighting strong performance in the public education system.
The School Education Department announced that supplementary examinations for Class 12 students will be held from June 29 to July 7, while Class 11 arrear exams are scheduled between July 8 and 16.
Students can apply for supplementary exams from May 18 to June 2, and the revaluation and retotalling process will take place from June 5 to 8.
