Chennai, Aug 12:
The Chennai Cooum River restoration project aims to tackle sewage pollution, improve water quality and revive the city’s historic waterway.
The initiative focuses on treating sewage, preventing untreated wastewater from entering the river and improving the surrounding environment.
Under the Singara Chennai 2.0 initiative, along with other government programmes, efforts are being undertaken to restore Chennai’s waterways and improve the city’s overall environmental quality.
