Washington, Sept 5:
US President Donald Trump has warned that Washington could strike Iran’s heavily fortified underground Pickaxe Mountain nuclear facility “very soon”, saying American forces are closely monitoring activity there.
Located near the damaged Natanz enrichment site, Pickaxe Mountain is believed to house deeply buried tunnel systems and centrifuges. Trump said the US campaign aims to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
His remarks come amid escalating US-Iran tensions, with Washington recently striking Iranian military targets. Iran has condemned the attacks as violations of its sovereignty and vowed defensive retaliation.
