Chennai:
DMK president M K Stalin on Monday accused the TVK government of failing to maintain law and order in Tamil Nadu, alleging that rising murders and drug trafficking reflected administrative negligence. Citing recent killings in Dindigul and Sivaganga and the murder of a nurse near Perundurai, he questioned police monitoring of criminals on bail and alleged that drug networks were operating with political protection. Stalin urged Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay, who holds the Home portfolio, to take effective action against crime and narcotics.
