during the between West Indies and India at the Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram, India, on September 27, 2026.
Mumbai, Oct 22:
Mumbai registered a commanding innings-and-97-run victory over Himachal Pradesh in their Ranji Trophy encounter, underlining their strength in domestic red-ball cricket.
Mumbai’s all-round performance put them firmly in control of the match, with their batters building a substantial first-innings lead before the bowlers dismissed Himachal Pradesh to secure victory without requiring a third innings.
The result reflected Mumbai’s depth and experience in the premier domestic competition. Their batting unit laid the foundation by scoring heavily, while the bowlers maintained pressure on the opposition and prevented Himachal Pradesh from recovering.
Himachal Pradesh struggled to match Mumbai’s consistency across the match and were unable to overcome the deficit created in the first innings.
The emphatic win will provide Mumbai with valuable momentum in the tournament as they seek to strengthen their position in the group standings.
