”Indian 2” mishap: Kamal moves HC


Chennai, Mar 17: Actor-politican Kamal Haasan today moved Madras High Court over the inquiry by Central Crime Branch over the mishap on the sets of Indian 2 that claimed three lives.

He has reportedly alleged in the petition that he was made to wait for long hours during enquiry and asked by the police officials to enact how the mishap happened.

The founder leader of Makkal Needhi Maiam was summoned by the Chennai Central Crime Branch police to appear in person in connection with the crane crash case a couple of weeks ago. Three men, including an assistant director, died on the sets of Indian 2 at EVP Film City, located in the outskirts of Chennai.

Kamal luckily escaped from the accident as he moved from the spot a few minutes before the crane fell. The Chennai police registered a case of negligence causing injury and death.

The police had said that the responsibility for the accident would be fixed after a detailed inquiry with all the stakeholders and also after studying the forensic report.
