Facebook outlines opportunities for creators in Tamilnadu


Chennai: Instagram and Facebook organised their ‘largest’ event for creators to date, called – ‘Creator Day India’. At the event, the company shared some of the top trends on the platforms, as well as launched its largest creator education and enablement program in India -www.bornoninstagram.com.

Creator Day India saw attendance from creators such as chef Suresh Pillai, composer and singer RK Adithya and actor and singer Abhishek Kumar, and the programming was aimed at helping creators in Tamilnadu and other parts build their careers and personal brand, support their wellbeing, and be inspired from creators who have monetised well.

Some of the top trends shared included the continued dominance of food as a category on Facebook, which continues to see pages from all over India doing well, the rise of short-form video format Reels on Instagram, which is democratising creativity across India and the scaling creator monetization on Facebook, with the help of in-stream ads.
