AIIMS doctor Nayak appears before Jaya death probe panel


AIIMS doctor Nayak arrives at Arumughaswamy Commission office.

Chennai: Three doctors from AIIMS, who treated former chief minister J Jayalalithaa in Apollo Hospitals, are set to appear before the Arumughaswamy Commission today.

The one-man commission, appointed by the AIADMK government to  probe the circumstances leading to the death Jayalaithaa on  5 December 2016, had summoned the AIIMS doctors to appear before it today.

Of the three doctors from AIIMS, Nitish Nayak has arrived at Ezhilagam, Chennai, where the commission office is situated.

The retired judge was appointed to go into the circumstances leading to the death of Jayalalithaa after O Panneerselvam made this a condition to merge his faction with that of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami.
