Kamal releases video urging all to stay safe at house


Chennai: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting citizens of India to observe ”Janta Curfew” by staying indoors 22 March, from 7 am to 9 pm to fight coronavirus outbreak, actor-politician Kamal Haasan today expressed his solidarity for it.

He also released a video urging people to stay indoors for next few days in their fight against the virus. Kamal took to Twitter to announce that he will stand in solidarity with Modi.

His tweet reads, ”I stand in full solidarity with our Prime Ministers call for #JantaCurfew. In this extraordinary situation, we have to take extraordinary measures. Its a disaster that has befallen on us and by staying united and indoors, we can Stay Safe. I call upon my fans, my friends and my people in support of the cause on 22nd March Sunday, 7 am to 9 pm (sic).”

In the video released today, Kamal said, ”Our life is very precious. Lets stay indoor and spend time with our children. Share your stories to them”.

The two-minute video features Kamal telling people that they need healthy body to earn their livelihood and take care of their families. For that, they should stay in their house for the next few days.
