
Nesaprabhu’s ordeal began when he reported unidentified individuals without number plates on their vehicles surveilling him near his residence. His first call to the control room raised concerns about his safety, yet the assailants continued to trail him. Even as he sought help from the Kamanaickenpalayam police station, the situation escalated.
During a call with a police officer from Kamanaickenpalayam station, Nesaprabhu detailed how unknown individuals had been shadowing him for two days. Despite his plea for assistance, the officer reportedly insisted on Nesaprabhu coming to the station to file a formal complaint. Tragically, on his way to the station in a car, the assailants surrounded him at a petrol bunk, launching a vicious attack with sickles and knives.
The distressing audio recordings capture Nesaprabhu’s desperate pleas for help and a chilling moment where he exclaims, ‘My life is over,’ before the call abruptly ends. These recordings have since gone viral on social media, intensifying public outrage over the incident.
Nesaprabhu suffered severe injuries to his head, chest, and hand and was promptly rushed to Palladam Government Hospital and later transferred to a private hospital in Coimbatore for further treatment.
Amidst growing public outcry, the police took swift action, apprehending two assailants identified as G Praveen (27) from Erode and B Saravanan (23) from KVR Nagar in Tirupur. Subsequent investigations revealed that Nesaprabhu had a recent altercation with Sabarivijai, a resident of Ayyampalayam in Tirupur, suspected to be involved in illegal activities.
