Tamil Nadu BJP State Executive Committee Coordinator H. Raja addressed the press in Pudukkottai, voicing criticisms against the ruling DMK government and discussing various political matters.
H. Raja highlighted the prolonged lack of action against DMK Minister Senthil Balajiâs brother, Ashok Kumar, despite serious allegations that have persisted for years. He also pointed out that no action has been taken against Minister Anbarasan, even after complaints were lodged over his derogatory comments about Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“However, why was actress Kasthuri arrested so swiftly by the police when she had to be apprehended from a neighboring state? It is such actions that prompt us to label the Tamil Nadu government as biased,” Raja said.
Referring to the incident involving YouTuber Savukku Shankar, who was injured while under judicial custody, Raja emphasized the need for the state government to ensure Kasthuri’s safety while she is detained.
Raja argued that since 1967, the DMK has never contested an election without the support of alliance parties. He noted that despite forming coalitions, the DMK has never shared power with its allies after winning elections. He suggested this indicated a lack of genuine collaboration and inclusivity in the DMKâs political approach.
He expressed concern over the safety of government doctors in state hospitals, portraying it as an example of the failure of the DMK administration. “The DMK government has faltered across all sectors,” Raja asserted.
Commenting on actor Vijay’s recent political foray, Raja said, “Vijay claims that he will follow the same path that the DMK has pursued for decades. He does not seem to have any novel political ideas or alternative policies.”
Raja clarified that the BJP has not approached anyone seeking alliances and described the claim that the AIADMK has distanced itself from the BJP as âamusing.â He emphasized that decisions on alliances will be taken by the national leadership of the BJP.
Addressing the DMK’s aspirations for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, where they hope to win 200 seats, Raja said, “Dreaming of victories is natural, and no one can stop someone from dreaming. Both the DMK and AIADMK are not invincible; they have both faced multiple electoral defeats.”
