AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) made a strong political appeal during a rally in Chidambaram. He urged parties currently in alliance with the DMK to join the AIADMK front for the upcoming Assembly elections.EPS accused the DMK government of mistreating its own allies. He claimed the DMK had denied them permission to hold rallies and hoist flags. He also said the DMK might reduce their seat share in the next election.
EPS reminded that AIADMK had earlier allied with most of these parties. He assured that any party that switches to the AIADMK will be warmly welcomed.
He also said that it was the AIADMK government that brought in several beneficial schemes for farmers. Many of these have now been stopped under the DMK rule. “The AIADMK government was responsible for facilitating sugarcane procurement and will resolve ongoing issues in online paddy procurement.”
