Sun NXT, one of South India’s leading OTT platforms, is all set to release its next exclusive direct-to-OTT film, Rambo, on October 10, ahead of Deepavali.The film stars Arulnithi in the lead role and is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Muthaiya, known for his powerful rural dramas like Komban, Kutti Puli, Pulikkuthi Pandi, and Viruman. Stepping away from his usual rural setting, Muthaiya explores a city-based, high-octane action narrative in Rambo. The story revolves around a fearless boxer whose life takes a dramatic turn when he steps in to help a woman, portrayed by Tanya Ravichandran. The film promises intense action sequences, emotional depth, and the signature raw intensity of Muthaiya’s storytelling, now set against an urban backdrop.
The film also marks the silver screen debut of Aysha, known from Bigg Boss, while popular Malayalam actor Ranjith Sajeev plays the antagonist. The ensemble cast includes Harish Peradi and VTV Ganesh in key supporting roles. With cinematography by RD Rajasekhar and a pulsating soundtrack by Ghibran, Rambo aims to deliver a complete action entertainer tailored for OTT audiences. The first look and trailer have already generated a positive response. Rambo will be available exclusively on Sun NXT from October 10, bringing festive entertainment home this Deepavali.
