Geneva, Feb 19: In the latest peace negotiations in Geneva aimed at ending the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has described the outcome as insufficient, with key issues remaining unresolved. The U.S.-mediated talks, held on February in Geneva, Switzerland, brought together delegations from Ukraine, Russia, and the United States in an effort to find common ground after nearly four years of conflict. While discussions covered both military and political issues, they failed to deliver a significant breakthrough or consensus on crucial matters.
President Zelenskyy, speaking in a video message following the talks, stated that the results were “not sufficient.” He highlighted that while military representatives engaged seriously on certain technical issues, sensitive political questions—especially potential compromises—and the crucial meeting of national leaders have yet to be properly addressed. Zelenskyy emphasized hope for another round of discussions later this month.
