Air India has temporarily suspended flights to several Middle East countries, with the suspension now extended until March 13 due to airspace closures in parts of Iran and the Gulf region amid ongoing military tensions involving the United States and Israel.
The airline stated that many international carriers have halted flights passing through the affected airspace, impacting normal operations. Air Indiaās services that usually transit through the region have been cancelled since February 28, and the extension affects flights scheduled from March 10 to March 13.
Passengers booked on the affected flights will have the option to reschedule travel without extra charges or cancel tickets for a full refund, the airline confirmed.
The move comes as airlines monitor developments in the Middle East to ensure passenger safety and compliance with airspace restrictions.
