The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) secured a clean sweep in the Bihar Rajya Sabha elections, winning all five seats in a major political victory for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his alliance.
The win came after a setback for the opposition Mahagathbandhan, as four of its MLAs — including three from Congress and one from RJD — skipped voting, weakening its numbers.
Despite support from smaller parties, the opposition failed to reach the required vote count, paving the way for the NDA’s complete dominance in the polls.
The results underline the NDA’s strong grip on Bihar’s legislative strength and deal a significant blow to the opposition bloc ahead of future political contests.
