Chennai, Mar 26:
As the Secular Progressive Alliance finalises seat‑sharing ahead of the April 23 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, two smaller parties in the front have been allocated constituencies to contest.
According to party sources, Mukkulathor Pulipadai and Manithaneya Makkal Katchi (MJK) have each been allotted one assembly seat within the alliance. Both parties will contest on the DMK’s election symbol, reinforcing their participation under the broader coalition banner.
The move follows ongoing negotiations and reflects efforts by alliance leaders to accommodate a range of partners while finalising candidate lists, as the electoral battle intensifies across the state.
