Chennai, Mar 26:
The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has planned to relay around 250 roads across the city at an estimated cost of ₹53 crore ahead of the upcoming elections.
The project will cover eight major bus route roads in key zones such as Royapuram, Teynampet, Perungudi, and Sholinganallur, in addition to more than 240 interior roads.
Important stretches identified for relaying include Nelson Manickam Road, Gandhi Irwin Bridge, Sterling Road, MMDA Main Roads, and TNPSC Road. The initiative aims to improve road infrastructure and ease traffic movement across the city.
