Chennai, Aug 12:
Former AIADMK functionary Singai Ramachandran on Tuesday joined the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) in the presence of party president and Chief Minister Vijay.
Ramachandran, who served as AIADMK’s state student wing secretary and state IT wing head, had resigned from all party posts and primary membership last month, citing differences with the party leadership and internal changes.
He subsequently joined the TVK, marking a significant political shift ahead of the party’s organisational expansion.
Ramachandran had contested the Coimbatore Lok Sabha constituency as an AIADMK candidate in the 2024 general election. His father, Singai Govindaraj, was also a former AIADMK MLA.
