Adis Ababa, Oct 3:
Ethiopia has expelled 10 Eritrean diplomats and announced the closure of its embassy in Eritrea, marking a further deterioration in relations between the neighbouring countries.
The move comes amid escalating tensions between Addis Ababa and Asmara. Ethiopia has also announced measures against Eritrean diplomatic personnel as the dispute between the two governments deepens.
The latest developments have raised concerns about the broader regional implications, given the two countries’ history of conflict and the fragile security situation in the Horn of Africa.
