The makers of Ramayana have unveiled a new poster featuring Arun Govil as King Dashrath, marking his return to the epic after becoming synonymous with Lord Ram through his iconic portrayal.
The poster offers the first look at Govil as Dashrath, the King of Ayodhya and father of Lord Rama. His regal appearance has added to the anticipation surrounding the two-part epic, particularly among audiences who grew up watching him as Ram.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. Produced by Namit Malhotraâs Prime Focus Studios with DNEG and Yashâs Monster Mind Creations, Part 1 will release worldwide on November 5, 2026, while Part 2 is scheduled for Diwali 2027.
The film will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, including in IMAX. Sony Pictures will distribute it globally outside India, while Dharma Productions will handle distribution in the Hindi-speaking market.
