Chennai: B Gopi delivered a great spell with the ball as Madras Emmanuel Cricket Club defeated Triplicane Friends United Cricket Club by nine wickets in the TNCA Fourth Division ‘A’ match here.

Gopi took a six-wicket haul to skittle out Triplicane for a meagre 97 in 38.3 overs. He gave away only 23 runs during his spell.Madras Emmanuel cruised to the target, losing just one wicket.

In another match, S Sabarinathan scored an unbeaten hundred as Madras Aryan Club beat State Bank of India Recreation Club by 92 runs.

Triplicane Friends United CC 97 in 38.3 overs (B Gopi 6/23) lost to Madras Emmanuel CC 99 for 1 in 22.5 overs (B Dinesh 43 n.o, K Rajesh Kumar 40)
