Chennai: Gujarat took a crucial 85-run lead against Tamilnadu on the third day in the Col CK Nayudu Trophy for Under 23 Elite Group A match at the TNCA Academy in Theni on Sunday.
Replying to TN’s first innings score of 329, Gujarat, which resumed at the overnight score of 148 for three, made 414 as captain Rahul Shah (152 off 322 balls with 15 fours and three sixes) and Manan Hingrajia (101 off 211 balls with 15 fours and one six) scored hundreds.
The left-handed duo added 220 runs in 68 overs for the fourth wicket Incidentally, this was the maiden ton for the batsmen.
