Chennai: New Champions League 2019, a cricket tournament for U-10, 12, 14 and Under-16 boys was inaugurated at Spic YMCA ground, Nandhanam, on 14 April ( Sunday).
According to the organisers, the 20-over cricket tournament will be held till 15 May, where matches will also be played under lights, which is a first-of-its-kind initiative for any local cricket tournament
About 40 teams from districts like Chennai, Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur, Chengalpattu, Thirupur and Ambur are participating in the tournament, comprising 100 matches.
The tournament is organised by New Champions Sports Foundation, alongside Four Sqr and Acme Groupz.
