Chennai: Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL) or called otherwise as AVANI, a defence company headquarters at Avadi in Chennai, was formally dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday.
Consequent to the decision of the government of India, the Ordnance Factory Board has been converted into seven defence companies.
AVANI is one of the seven defence companies. All the five units and the corporate Office joined in the central programme digitally. Sanjeev Kishore, Chairman and Managing Director, AVNL launched the website and logo of AVANI. He also unveiled a Plaque, dedicating AVANI to the nation by the Prime Minister. He said the new company in Tamilnadu is fully committed towards business excellence and employees’ welfare.
