Kumaran Colony Main Road in Vadapalani was named after music genius Mandolin Srinivas and a plaque was unveiled. The family members of Mandolin Srinivas met the CM MK. Stalin and conveyed their wishes.
Mandolin Srinivas became a huge sensation in the 90s and 2000s when he played Carnatic music on the western instrument mandolin. As a result, He had many fans across the world. It must be noted that though he was born in AP he lived in Kumaran Colony in Vadapalani from the age of 6. He passed away on 19th of September in 2014
