Mumbai, Dec 13: VolkswagenĀ India will be increasing prices up to 2% across its model range from January 1, 2024. TheĀ price hikeĀ is owing to rising input and material costs, the company said.
While the Brand continues to absorb most of the input cost increase, some impact will have to be passed on to the end consumers, the company said in a media release.
Tata MotorsĀ last month said that it is considering increasing prices of its passenger andĀ electric vehiclesĀ in January 2024. The company, which sells a range of passenger vehicles starting with hatchback Tiago to premium SUV Safari priced between INR 5.6 lakh and INR 25.94 lakh, however, did not specify the quantum of the proposed hike.
“We are considering a price hike across our passenger and electric vehicles in January 2024. The extent of the hike and exact details will be announced in a few weeks,” a Tata Motors spokesperson said.
