The ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has announced a grand celebration in Coimbatore on June 14 to commemorate the resounding victory of the INDIA bloc in the recently concluded Parliamentary elections. This decision was formalized in a resolution adopted at the meeting of DMK MPs elect at the party headquarters, Anna Arivalayam, on Saturday.
The resolution stated, “Chief Minister M K Stalin announced that the alliance would win all 40 seats and dedicate the victory to Kalaignar Karunanidhi. Now, he has demonstrated that convincingly.” The celebration, named Mupperum Vizha (triple celebration), will mark the valediction of Kalaignar centenary, express gratitude to the voters of Tamil Nadu, and felicitate the Chief Minister for leading the party to a remarkable victory that has drawn attention nationwide.
Addressing the MPs-elect, CM Stalin emphasized the importance of acknowledging the voters’ support and expressed his gratitude for their trust. He advised the MPs to consult with the ministers in charge, district secretaries, and MLAs to organize tours to thank the voters personally. Stalin instructed the MPs to report the details of their “voter thanking tours” to the party high command to ensure coordinated efforts across constituencies.
Further, Stalin stressed the importance of MPs maintaining a strong connection with their constituencies. He advised the MPs to promptly open their constituency offices and ensure that their contact information, including email IDs and phone numbers, is well-publicized. This will help constituents easily reach out to their elected representatives.
Stalin also instructed the MPs to establish clear schedules for their availability in their constituencies, ensuring that people can meet with them to discuss issues and seek assistance. This approach aims to reinforce the DMK’s commitment to being accessible and responsive to the needs of the people.
The upcoming celebration in Coimbatore is expected to be a significant event, reflecting the DMK’s gratitude towards its supporters and showcasing the leadership of CM Stalin.
The Mupperum Vizha on June 14 promises to be a memorable occasion, celebrating the legacy of Kalaignar Karunanidhi and the continued success of the DMK under the leadership of M K Stalin.
