The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has extended its search operations for a second consecutive day at the properties of Santiago Martin, a millionaire businessman known as the “lottery king,” and his son-in-law Aadhav Arjuna, who serves as the VCK deputy general secretary. The searches, described as part of a comprehensive probe into Martin’s business network, are being conducted across multiple states, including Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Punjab, and West Bengal.Sources revealed that the ED’s operation covered at least 20 premises linked to Martin, Arjuna, and their associates. These properties are spread across Chennai and Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, Faridabad in Haryana, Ludhiana in Punjab, and Kolkata in West Bengal. The raids are expected to shed light on documents related to financial misconduct, though official details regarding the findings will be disclosed only after the search concludes.
This latest series of raids follows similar actions by the ED in May and October of the previous year, during which properties of Martin, Arjuna, and other family members in Coimbatore were searched.
