Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented her eighth consecutive budget, emphasizing continuity in the government’s efforts to accelerate economic growth, ensure inclusive development, and boost private investment. She highlighted the need to uplift household sentiment and enhance the spending power of India’s expanding middle class.
Addressing global challenges, Nirmala Sitharaman acknowledged ongoing geopolitical uncertainties affecting economic growth. However, she remained optimistic, stating that the aspiration for a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) and the transformative policies of previous years will drive the country forward.
With a focus on sustainable economic momentum, the budget aims to balance fiscal prudence with strategic investments, reinforcing India’s growth trajectory in an evolving global landscape.
