During a joint press conference, Modi praised Trumpās efforts in addressing the Russia-Ukraine conflict and reaffirmed India’s position that the issue should be resolved through dialogue. On the India-China border tensions, Trump acknowledged the severity of the skirmishes and offered to mediate if needed, stating, āIf I could be of help, Iād love to help, because that should be stopped.ā
Modi announced a new trade goal, stating that India and the U.S. are aiming for $500 billion in bilateral trade by 2030, with teams from both nations working towards a comprehensive trade agreement.
Trump also revealed plans for a major boost in U.S. military sales to India, amounting to billions of dollars. He confirmed that efforts are underway to provide India with F-35 Stealth fighters, further strengthening defense ties between the two nations.
