Municipal Administration Minister K.N. Nehru has accused the NDA coalition in Tamil Nadu of being in disarray and losing ground, with several AIADMK allies reportedly seeking to join the DMK-led front. He aimed his criticism specifically at Union Minister L. Murugan, suggesting Murugan was unsettled by the shifting loyalties of coalition partners
Speaking during a patta distribution event in Tiruchirappalli, Nehru said, ā€œMurugan is frustrated and unsure about finalising the AIADMK-BJP alliance. He’s trying to distract the public,ā€ adding that many parties are now ā€œsending feelers to the DMK allianceā€
On seat-sharing, Nehru clarified that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, as head of the INDIA bloc, will ensure fair allocation among alliance partners. He also denied claims by DMK MLA M. Palaniyandi that projects were being diverted from one constituency to another, asserting that existing norms prevent such actions
The minister also highlighted the government’s progress in public welfare projects: over 56,000 housing pattas distributed, timely Mettur dam water release, and desilting activities benefiting around 6 lakh acres of kuruvai cultivation.
