Marking Yash’s birthday, the makers of Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups unveiled a high-impact character intro, officially introducing Raya, played by Yash, through a bold and arresting tease that sets the tone for the film’s dark universe. The video opens amid chaos in a cemetery, with gunfire tearing through the silence before Raya emerges — calm, commanding, and lethal. Armed with a tommy gun and an unflinching gaze, Yash’s Raya exudes authority, establishing him as a force driven by intent rather than spectacle.
Notably, Yash had earlier introduced the film by spotlighting its women — Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria — signalling an ensemble-driven narrative before revealing his own character. With Raya now unveiled, Toxic firmly announces its uncompromising, action-heavy tone.
Directed and co-written by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is simultaneously shot in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in multiple Indian languages. The film boasts a formidable technical team including cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, music composer Ravi Basrur, and action choreography by JJ Perry, Anbariv, and Kecha Khamphakdee.
Produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026, aligning with Eid, Ugadi, and Gudi Padwa — setting the stage for one of the biggest releases of the year.
