Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed at Maduranthakam by helicopter this evening to attend the NDA mega public meeting, marking a key political event ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
On arrival, Modi was received by AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami. The two leaders then travelled together by road to the meeting venue, a moment seen as symbolising renewed coordination within the NDA in Tamil Nadu.
The rally, considered the launchpad of the NDA’s poll campaign in the State, witnessed the presence of senior alliance leaders including PMK president Dr Anbumani Ramadoss, AMMK leader T.T.V. Dhinakaran, TMC(M) chief G.K. Vasan and other partners. Party cadres and supporters lined both sides of the GST Road, greeting the leaders with slogans and flags as the convoy passed.
With tight security in place across the region, the public meeting is expected to draw a massive turnout, as the NDA projects unity and strength in its bid to take on the ruling DMK in the forthcoming Assembly polls.
